June Estates Limited ("June Estates", "JE.", "we", "us", "our") is a residential estate and letting agency registered in England and Wales, trading from 167–169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF.
We are the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy. June Estates is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), is a member of Property Redress, and is supervised by HMRC for anti-money-laundering purposes - all verifiable on those bodies' public registers.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, contact us at info@juneestates.co.uk or by post at the address above.
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website (juneestates.co.uk), enquire about a property, instruct us to act, or otherwise deal with us, and how we use, share and protect it. It also sets out your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
We collect information: directly from you (by phone, email, our website enquiry forms, or in person); from social-media advertising you respond to (for example, enquiries submitted through our Meta (Facebook and Instagram) or TikTok lead campaigns, managed in our advertising CRM); from property portals through which you contact us (such as JamesEdition, Rightmove and Zoopla); from referrals and industry partners who introduce you to us; and, where appropriate, from publicly available sources.
We only use your personal information where the law allows us to. The lawful bases we rely on are:
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered and balanced any impact on you; you can ask us about this at any time.
We use two kinds of cookie, and only the first is set automatically.
Strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the site to work - keeping you signed in to your account area, keeping forms secure, and remembering the cookie choice you made so we do not ask you again on every page. They are not used for advertising and cannot be switched off.
Advertising cookies. With your permission we set cookies from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) - _fbp and _fbc - which tell us which of our campaigns brought you to the site. Nothing is set until you agree: the Meta script is not loaded at all unless you accept, and if you decline or later withdraw, we remove those cookies. This never affects what you are shown on our own site.
Property films. Our films play through Vimeo and YouTube in their privacy modes. Vimeo's do-not-track mode sets no tracking cookies; YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode sets none unless you press play on a YouTube film, at which point YouTube's own cookie terms apply to that video.
You can change your mind at any time through the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page. Withdrawing is as straightforward as agreeing was, and does not affect anything we did lawfully beforehand.
Measuring our advertising without cookies. Separately from cookies, where you have agreed to marketing we tell Meta when an enquiry we received went on to a viewing, a valuation, an offer or a completion, so we can see which campaigns bring us genuine clients rather than form-fillers. Your email address and phone number are converted into a one-way scrambled code (a SHA-256 hash) before they are sent, so Meta can recognise you only if it already holds a matching record - we never send your actual contact details for this purpose, and never the details of the property or the sum involved in a way that identifies you. Lawful basis: your consent. If you have not opted into marketing, or you have asked us not to contact you, nothing about you is sent. You can withdraw at any time by emailing us (section 11).
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary, with:
June Estates operates across the UK and internationally, so your information may be transferred outside the UK - in particular where you register interest in an overseas property and we pass your details to a local broker or developer (for example in the United States, the EU or the UAE).
Where we transfer information to a country that does not have UK "adequacy" status, we protect it by using an appropriate safeguard - such as the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Where the transfer is one you have specifically asked us to make so that a local partner can assist you (point-of-interest registration), we rely on that being necessary for a contract or steps taken at your request, and on your explicit consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time, though it will not affect transfers already made.
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it:
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:
To exercise any of these, contact info@juneestates.co.uk. We will respond within one month. Exercising your rights is free, though we may charge a reasonable fee or decline a request that is clearly unfounded or excessive.
You can opt out of marketing at any time - by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by emailing info@juneestates.co.uk. Opting out of marketing does not affect communications we need to send you in connection with a transaction or a legal obligation.
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse, and we require our service providers to do the same. Discretion is central to how we work, particularly with the personal information of our private clients.
Our services and website are directed to adults and are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information relating to children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on our website, and the "last updated" date shows when it last changed.
If you have a concern about how we handle your information, please tell us first at info@juneestates.co.uk so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data-protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
