Arrival is unhurried. A valet takes the car and the concierge, there at every hour, receives you into a lobby of stone and soft light. The lift rises, and the city falls quietly away.

Pininfarina gave Ferrari and Maserati their lines, and here the house brings that same discipline home. Oak parquet warms the floor. Green quartzite and marble catch the morning in a kitchen of Nolte cabinetry and Miele appliances. In the bathroom, Gessi and Villeroy & Boch, the stone warm underfoot. The air is filtered and the water purified, and the walls keep the city at a gentle distance.

Then the terrace, and the view arrives all at once. Palm Jumeirah lies open on the sea, Burj Al Arab stands beyond it, and Bluewaters and the Marina trace the shore. Far inland, Burj Khalifa rises against the sky.
